I will have two children in preparing. How can I do the history self study without having to by 2 copies of each book? I have thought of having one do another subject but I sort of like to keep them doing the same thing. Any other suggestions?

I know many families have done what you are saying. The independent history box should take 20-25 minutes. So, while one is reading the independent history book, the other could be doing DITHOR, grammar, dictation, or math. Those are things that unless they are at the same level, you would have them do separate anyways.

I have always had at least two of my kids combined. I have never bought two sets of anything. Not even guides. You just tell them that they have to share. It's a good life lesson in patience. :)

Mine used to alternate and one would do science while the other did independent history.
