Prayers for Mission Trip

Post by Dorla » Mon Jun 30, 2008 7:25 am

Good Morning!
Today we fly home to Costa Rica for a month. During our stay another 15 people will join us from the USA and we will go to Yorkin, Talamanca, homeplace of the Bribri Indians http://www.greencoast.com/yorkin.htm to provide a health clinic and health VBS.
Please pray for a safe journey and God's guidance in everything that has been planned!
I will do my best to check the boards, my parents deeply believe in the benefits of the internet....so if it is working I will be checking you guys out!
Happy summer,
Dorla

Hello! we are still in Costa Rica and wanted to thank you for your prayers.
The first night in the Talamanca mountains was terrifying. We arrived too late and had to take the canoe at dusk and walk for 30 minutes in the jungle, in the rain, in the mud. Slip and slide all the way, but no one got hurt. My brave 6 year old only complained when we finally got to the cabin. He pleaded for us not to walk in the dark ever again! And I knew someone was praying for us during that time. And even if it was before that hour it gave me peace. Thank you, thank you.
