Shadow of His Hand---This book is amazing. My husband ordered me her autobiography as a gift because we couldn't quit telling him about this book.
I am David

not the holocaust, but about divided Berlin--Candy Bomber
not the holocaust, but Christian persecution in the Soviet Union Children of the Storm

MTMM was one of our best years yet. We had an amazing year of discussions. I covered this time period in the past with other material that did not have nearly the same impact on our family. The American Testimony videos really added to our year as well.

Someone else can chime in about the extensions.

I know they also read about it in Story of the World. In Hero Tales they read about Corrie Ten Boom and I think Dietrich Bonhoeffer. I think they even cover it some in All American History, but maybe in a more indirect way. I know my ds read about Jesse Owens and then watched a video of him at the Munich Olympics with Hitler in the audience and discuss why that was a big deal. There is even some in the Presidents study. I know he also did a map writing in how many were killed in the Holocaust in each country. That was a great way of getting across how horrific it was without lots of detailed pictures etc. I thought Carrie did a great job of dealing with it in this guide. The story time books mentioned leave no doubt how horrible it was, but they aren't near as graphic as many resources I have seen. My ds is very sensitive and he was greatly moved by what he read, but it didn't cross the border of being too much for him to handle.
