Is there a book that would help give us some commentary on these speeches? At times we could use help.

Annaz,
I'm not sure which guide you are doing, but the context for the speech in Rev2Rev is within the history readings the child is doing (usually on that same day). The speeches match a person or event from the day's readings and add another dimension to the study.
In MTMM, the speeches also match by time period, event, or person with the history readings; and those speeches also have a brief introduction in the Great American Speeches book before each speech that gives the context for the speech to "set the stage" before you read the speech.

Oh good grief, I forgot the "y". Edited to add it.
Yes, I'm doing REV.
Yeah, I know, but it's still hard to comprehend the wording sometimes. It would be nice to understand it all.
I can get the questions, but portions of the speech tends to go over my head and this cuts discussions quite short. I'll have to check the Great American Speeches book sample and see if intros help. I'd hate to bypass a vital component of discussion.

The intros in the Great American Speeches book help a lot. It may also be that the speeches are more current so the language isn't as difficult as some of the Rev to Rev speeches.

That would make sense, Lynn. Some of these you sort of "had to be there in that time" to understand fully what they're saying. I did see an example and they seemed to shed more light.
