Blessed by LHFHG

Hello there!
I am a lurker and occasional poster. I love reading all the posts and gleaning wisdom from so many women who have gone before me!
I did LHTH with my oldest daughter the past two years, and this school year we have been enjoying working through LHFHG at half-speed. She is a young K'er -- 5 years old -- so half-speed is perfect for us!
I wanted to share what a blessing LHFHG has been to me during my first "official" year of homeschooling. I find myself sighing with contentment as I put the school books back on the shelf after our school time together. I also have two other girls, ages 3.5 and almost 2, who love to listen in, participate in the action rhymes, and follow along as best they can, and I am so excited to share LHFHG with them with their time comes.
Most recently, it has been beautiful for me to see God showing us how He has been using LHFHG in the heart of my 5-year-old daughter, Anna. We are currently expecting identical twin boys in the summer, and yesterday we received the hard & scary news that I have the beginning of Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome -- which occurs when identical twins share one placenta and the placenta begins to nourish only one baby while dehydrating the other. I was praying with my girls at bedtime, and Anna wanted to pray for her baby brothers, and without any leading or prompting from me, she began praying that the boys would grow "in wisdom and stature and favor with God and men" and that they would "let their light shine before all men that they may see their good deeds and praise their Father in Heaven" -- parts of the last two verses we had been memorizing as part of LHFHG! I was so surprised to see how His Word has taken root in her heart so much that it bubbled up in her prayers! I write all this with tears in my eyes and thankfulness in my heart for the work God is doing in my daughter's life through LHFHG.
I am so, so thankful for HOD and its Christ-centered focus! I am so thankful God's Word is made central to each program. I just wanted to share how God has used HOD to help shape the heart of my daughter and to encourage any momma's who might not see visible fruit right away!!
