Next year we will be doing Rev to Rev which starts at the mid-1700's (per the Intro for that guide). The curriculum we are currently using stops at the 1600's. I thought I could have my child read a portion of SOTW 3 to cover those 100+ years that we will be missing when we switch to HOD but the book jumps around and I can't figure out which chapters to read. Could someone who did Res to Ref please tell me the topics of history that are covered from 1600-mid 1700? I just need the titles like, The Thirty Years War, for ex. I guess it would be the last several units in the Res to Ref guide. Maybe if I could get the list of timeline entries starting with anything from 1600 to the end of the guide, then that would tell me what topics we should read about before starting Rev to Rev. I can't tell just by the TOC for that guide.

The last 11 weeks of RtR covers the 1600's-1700's so it's a huge chunk of that program. There would be approximately 40 titles. 
I recommend you using RtR but if your child places squarely in Rev to Rev otherwise, I think the best plan to fill your history gap would be to read at least the last 200 pages of Mystery of History 3.
