I was just wondering if this is to be read, or can the CD be used? I don't mind reading it, but since we have the CD, it would give some variation. :)

I answered my own question. I let dd hear the voice in the CD and asked her if she wanted to listen to that voice, or if she wanted me to read it. She didn't hesitate and said she wanted me to read it. She said I give more expression. I don't think I'm very expressive when I read, so either the gentleman reading the story is worse than I am (as far as expression), or dd just doesn't like having something different.

We did the same thing here. I offered for them to chooes and after a little bit of listening to the CD they both decided they wanted me to read it. They said his voice was boring.

We love audio books. I was trying to figure out how to only read the selected pages in using the audio book. I read it aloud, I really enjoyed reading it with her!
