Help on "outline sketch"!

Hi, all!
I start CTC next week and was just looking over the guide and I'm drawing a blank on what an "outline sketch" would be? It's listed as an assignment in the Storytime box. I think I'm probably over complicating it...

Is it just a basic outline of the book?

Thanks,
Mary

I am pretty sure that sketch in this means drawing something from the book. The setting, characters, a symbol, an important object. I think she says outline because the drawing doesn't have to be real detailed. I remember my ds and I each drawing things on a markerboard.

Lynn is right. It's a basic outline of the last read they did, not necessarily the "book". It should explain what they read. We also did it on a markerboard. So as dd was narrating what she read, the pictures she drew explained it. Could be more than one picture. DD drew several to tell a story.

We also did ours on a markerboard, and ds often had little thumbnail sketches with arrows between them. It was actually a lot of fun and quite a creative way to retell what was read! :D The daily plans give a good explanation of how to go about this assignment too. I thought I'd mention that since you may not have seen that since you have started yet. HTH! :D
