My son is in 3rd grade and we feel God is leading us to pull him out and begin home school. What curriculum would you recommend for pulling halfway through? Thanks! Brooke Corbitt

Have you checked out the HOD placement chart?

Based on age, I would look at Beyond, Bigger, and Preparing as possible guides. As for starting mid-year, that is one of the benefits of home schooling. You can start where ever you are. You aren't stuck in the traditional school mindset that says you have to start a curriculum in August/September and finish in May/June. You can start any time, and then you finish when you finish.

We school year round and start/finish whenever we do. My kids are all over the place

My original thoughts would be that Bigger is a great 3rd grade program... but you need to check the placement chart to make sure where he falls.

I was looking at Preparing so that it would carry us into fourth grade but wondering if Bigger would be a better start? I have no idea. He is a very smart kids and makes straight A's so I want to make sure he is challenged. All I know is God is saying "YES" so we are praying our way through this

Thanks for the feedback!

I would vote bigger too and you could add in some of the extensions if you want to add a little to it. I use some of the extension but not all of it for my little guy.
