Praise for CTC

Our church homeschool group does enrichment classes... kind of like a co-op but it's not necessarily what the kids are studying at home. It CAN be, but not necessarily.
So, Jayden is in Middle Ages class. I'm not sure what they are generally studying (because for us they are simply just enrichment and for fun... learning is extra) but their normal teacher was out today. So I was talking to a friend who was subbing in there and asked her what they learned today. She said they were talking about Islam today and how it compares/contrasts to Christianity. Well, I knew that Jayden had been learning about the differences in CTC (or had learned some, or whatever you want to say) so I asked if she (Jayden) had contributed anything to the conversation. The teacher said "Oh yeah! She was answering all sorts of questions and bringing up different points and ideas!"
Honestly, if it weren't for HOD, I KNOW I wouldn't be teaching her much about Islam at this point. Not that I think it's too much, but it just wouldn't cross my mind to! And like I told my friend, it's one thing for your child to talk to you as the homeschool mom/teacher about what they are learning in school, but it's way different for them to be confident enough that what they've learned is true and right and open up answering questions in a class situation!
