Cheerful Cursive

I just wanted to stop in and say how much we are enjoying Cheerful Cursive this year! Although it was intended to be used during Bigger, my daughter was begging and begging to learn cursive, so we added it to Beyond. She is loving it! And better than that, she is really retaining it, which was one of my concerns. She is already beginning to try writing her copy work in cursive.

Just now, she asked, "Where's my Cheerful cursive? I just want to practice writing some more." So she is copying the letters she knows on paper happily. :D

Homeschool victory!

I love it! I could have almost written your post word for word. I would have just had to change the "she" to "he." My DS even did the same lesson today and we are doing Beyond! :D

My third is the same way. :) Of course she's almost 7, but she's been through the first two italic books and half the italic cursive book in the past year and a half. The only reason she's not doing Cheerful Cursive is because her almost 9yo sister is doing it with Bigger and I didn't think it would be a good thing to have them competing over handwriting ;) So Julianna will do Cheerful Cursive when she finishes Italic D (or whichever... that popped in my head, but I can't remember).
