We are studying Turkey in a Child's Geography, Explore the Holy Land, and read about the whirling dirvishes. I thought, whirling dirvishes, where have I heard that before? After I read the lesson, my dd said whirling dirvishes is from a song. So we're racking our brains, trying to figure it out.
I don't know how this popped into my head, but I started singing "How do you solve a problem like Maria". Nope, that's not it...but we kept going...
When I'm with her I'm amused, out of focus and bemused, and I never know exactly where I am...
Unpredictable as weather, she's as flighty as a feather, she's a ______?______, she's a demon, she's a lamb...
She'd out pester any pest, drive a hornet from its nest, she could throw a whirling dervish out of whirl . That's it! Mystery solved.
Now don't blame me if I made you sing it.
