My oldest son had an accident at a playground last weekend. He fell off the merry-go-round (a spinning toy). He got a concussion and a fractured skull. We went back to the doctor yesterday and it isn't quite healing as well as they would like. She recommended no school for two weeks! She said we need to allow his brain to rest and heal without a lot of thinking or mental activity. I'm praying that he will heal and be fine, but for now we will just delay our starting!

Please know that I'm not making light of his injury. I was just really excited to get started with BLHFHG and BHFHG, but obviously, my son is much more important!!

We were 8 weeks into LHFHG with my daughter when she broke the wrist of her writing hand. 6 weeks with no writing put a damper on my planning. However, those weeks of healing are just as stressful for our little ones. I pray he heals completely.

OMGosh! That's horrible! I hope he heals soon and without pain!

That is horrible! I am so sorry that your ds is injured. I pray he recovers quickly. I know it's difficult when you are all excited to start school and then can't for some reason. Delays can be frustrating but God's timing is always best.

Poor guy. My older dd got a concussion from falling backwards off of the back of our coach in the spring. Hers was milder than your sons it sounds like but she was back to normal after a few days. Kids are amazing like that sometimes. I hope your son recovers quickly.
