DITHOR Question

Post by 3loveslearning » Thu Aug 29, 2013 8:27 am

Hi! We are doing Preparing and Res to Ref this year. In both guides DITHOR is scheduled 3 days of the 4. How do I plan that out according to the DITHOR book plans which seems to me I'd need to do 5 days a week to get through book in a school year. It's not lining up and my brain is fried trying to figure this out. Any thoughts with how to schedule it out for 3 days a week to make it work would be great. I should mention we did DITHOR last year 5 days a week with this year being in level 2/3 and 6/7/8.
Thanks!!

You just do DITHR on the days that it is scheduled in your guide(s). So an entire 20 day unit of DITHR will take 6 2/3 week of your Preparing and RTR guide to get through. So you will only get through 5 of the DITHR genres in the year. DITHR is scheduled at a slower pace in the upper guides to balance out the amount of reading and other work that the dc are doing with those guides. Here is another thread that talks more about this: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14267 Welcome to the HOD board! :D

Thank you so much for the input! It all makes sense now and I can easily plan out the coming year.
Much appreciated!
