Can anyone help me out? In ordering English books, I noticed this Igniting Your Writing book...I can't see where it's included anywhere else (catalog, etc.). Is this new? Is it used in the curriculum guides? I'm ordering Preparing and I'm not sure if this is something I need or not. Thanks again!

Hello,
If I am not mistaken...
Igniting your Writing (IYW) is specified as an option for descriptive writing instruction to go along with the Drawn into the Heart of Reading program.
However, if you are using an HOD guide (as in Preparing) you would not need to add IYW since your language arts requirements would already be fulfilled as specified/contained in the Preparing guide.
I hope that makes sense---the bottom line is that if you were to use DITHOR *only* (and no HOD regular guide) you'd have IYW as a recommended go-along to round out your LA needs. But, since you are indeed using Preparing you don't need to consider IYW because Preparing will cover your LA needs.
