How long should I expect it to take? I noticed that some days the kids read from two books. Are the readings pretty evenly spaced out? Perhaps on the two book days, I could just have him orally narrate to me, and not do any writing??

I'm planning on using the Bigger extension pack for my 9yo. We've never done an extension pack before. Last year, I just made a book list using what we had, and he just read them on his own. He narrated when I remember.

All of the book selections are so good - I can't pass them up myself! Even though my dc don't do extensions with the guides when they are doing them, I get the Extension Packages for free reading a few years after completing each guide. It is hard to find great books, and I love to build our home library with the extension books! With HOD's package savings, it's actually a pretty economical way to go about it. As far as your questions, I am thinking this thread may help...
