Sticky for Setting up for each guide?
Hello Carrie and Julie,
I was just wondering if the mb could have a sticky showing the posts, organization ideas, etc for setting up for each specific guide. Is this already done somewhere else? When I search the mb there are just so many posts to wade through to find what I'm looking for.
Thank you for considering!

Re: Sticky for Setting up for each guide?
That would be awesome! I would love to find a list of items we need for each guide as well as how others set it up.

This would be so helpful! I had come to the MB tonight to find info on that very thing! If it is not possible to do a sticky, could anyone share any links they know of for setting up Preparing and Little Hearts.

Re: Sticky for Setting up for each guide?
Little Hearts is easy. There aren't too many books, which makes it a snap. I have a 3 ring binder for all of our paper (art, handwriting, etc), and then I just have the books on the shelf. I don't think there is much more to do. I did put washi on the bindings of all the books (red for LHFHG), and I put the current ones right next to the guide. We are only on day 2, but this is working so far
Oh, and I made bookmarks for the guide and storytime books

If you look under the Main Board, another poster has put links under each guides' "sections" when there were examples.

Re: Sticky for Setting up for each guide?
I bumped a thread a while back. It's probably on page 2 by now.blessedmommyof4 wrote:This would be so helpful! I had come to the MB tonight to find info on that very thing! If it is not possible to do a sticky, could anyone share any links they know of for setting up Preparing and Little Hearts.
Ds chose to have 3 binders this year. We had it all in one last year and it got HEAVY. This year he has 1. history, 2. science, 3. poetry and everything else in 1" Better Binders. His vocabulary we'll continue in his index card size binder. He uses composition notebooks for English and spelling/dictation. He picked a nice journal for his Common Place Book. In the guide I used those heavy duty plastic tabs to mark the different sections. I use a binder clip to mark our day. I made a check off page with each subject that he can mark off as he goes. I used one another mom had made for Bigger last year and ds really liked it, so I made my own this year. Just boxes with the subject inside, laminated, and hung near his work area. He'll use a dry erase marker to mark it. We have the guide and first books in our work area. The others are lined up on a shelf.
ETA: Here's the Preparing thread. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10426
