LHFHG social studies question

Hi everyone,

In my state I am required to provide a health curriculum. So I am purchasing some Abeka health and safety visuals to use for Kindergarten. I was looking around at some of the other visuals they have on the website. They have Community Helpers visuals that teach kids about firefighters, police officers, that kind of thing. I was thinking of picking up some of those as well. I'm waiting to order the new LHFHG guide which is why i don't have it in my hands yet... I was curious if community helpers are covered in LHFHG? I don't want to pick it up if it's already in there. If it's not in LHFHG, is it covered in a future guide? I was looking at some of the social studies visuals published by Abeka and they all look cool, such as "America, Our Great Country." Again, I don't want to just buy a bunch of extra stuff that's already being covered in the guides. Thanks for any feedback!

No, Community Helpers is not covered in HOD so if you wanted to add it in you could. If you look at the sample week for LHFHG it lists all the history topics that are covered.

Not covered. However, if you want a freebie health curriculum, Modern Woodman of America provides free curriculum to HS Families in several areas, health being one. Just go to their website.
