Hi friends, what do you recommend for art supplies/paint for BHFHG? I surely appreciate this message board. What an amazing encouraging group of women you are!

I don't remember all of the supplies we used for Bigger, but for the most part they were all common things we had around the house. I do remember masking tape being something I was looking for often. As far as paint, I found the Crayola kids washable paints worked really well for most of our art projects. It has a nice consistency, a nice range of colors, and cleans up really easily. Bigger is such a fun year. You have a great year ahead of you!

We have used watercolor - which I just bought a cheap set of watercolors from a local craft store. I bought the Crayola washable paints, and I have also bought acrylic paints when they were on sale. I bought the acrylics for some Christmas present projects but we have enjoyed using them for painting in Bigger too. I have a lot of colored pencils, that's what DD does her notebooking projects with. I think most of those that we have are Crayola too, nothing special. In fact I still had some colored pencils from my childhood that DD is using. We also like dry erase - I have a dry erase board that folds up and stores easily and you can get markers in the dollar bin at Target.
School glue, staples, construction paper, are some other things we have used. Though maybe some of those were more for LHFHG, it's hard for me to remember which projects are which as my DDs sometimes join in on each other's projects.
I hope this helps!

The ladies already did such a great job of answering, that I will just welcome you to the board!

I hope you have a wonderful year with Bigger Hearts! I always feel that that is one of my most productive years with my dc as such great progress is made from start to finish. It is truly amazing to look back at the first few weeks of BHFHG, having the last few weeks in hand to compare to them. It has usually been a big "WOW we've come so far!" moment for us!

I can't wait for you to begin!

Oh, and do take a moment to read through BHFHG's Introduction - that will help you make supplies decisions as well.

Looking forward to getting to know you here!
In Christ,
Julie
