Hi, ladies!
We are gearing up to start CTC next month and I haven't purchased the guide yet but had a question. I know we will use Land Animals for some of the science. Do any of you think it's worth it to purchase a separate lab kit? I'm not sure how many of the experiments in the book you would actually do. Just wondering if it's easier to have all of that together or just go with the flow in the guide.

We are 6 units in (finishing the 6th unit tomorrow) and so far we've been able to do all the experiments without kits. I didn't even know there was a kit available! There was one day I believe where I had to wait until we went to the store to be able to do an experiment... oh yes, the one with m&ms at the very beginning. They tell you about it ahead of time, but we just didn't have a store trip between starting the guide and doing the first experiment.

You do HOD assigned labs, not necessarily the ones in the book. As usual, Carrie makes it easy on us. You generally use just stuff already in most homes.

Hey I just got a question over on the FB fan CTC group. Unit 1 Day 1 the apologia.com sample lesson appears to be missing. I downloaded the FAQ's doc and it says the sample lesson is available but the link in that FAQ's doc just takes me back to the landing page for apologia. Anyone got the direct link?
