High school world history credit

I'm currently using HOD with my 2 daughters while my son will start his junior year of high school this fall. He will be in marching band so while I support him in continuing with his public education, I would really like to have him do some school at home. So, if he is due for world history this year, how could I use HOD for him? Minnesota standards require 3.5 years of U.S. history, geography, government and citizenship, world history and economics. He has completed 1 year of government & citizenship and a year of U.S. history. Could I use the new geography guide for him? How could he get credit for world history? What history will next year's guide teach?

Thank you for any help you can provide!

The next high school guide will be the World History guide so as far as sequence that would work. I would think doing the Geography portion of the World Geography guide will work if you think he has time to do it. It is a full program even if all you do is the Geography part, although I would think you would also want to do the World Religions and Culture part as well to give him a 1/2 credit in that and to tie everything together.

I agree with what LynnH said. The WG looks so great, and the books are not to be missed - including the World Religions... part. I can understand your wanting him to do them! I think as long as he can handle the workload, he'll love it! :D
