DITHOR for Tenth

Post by glperky » Mon Jun 17, 2013 7:15 pm

I am so excited! My DS who will be going into 10th this fall is going to be doing MtMM. I can hardly wait. :D

I am wondering if he can use DITHOR? If so, is there a "must read" book list for a 10th grader? Or can ypu share some of your must read list? Thanks. When it comes to books, I need all the help I can get.  I didn't read not one book in high school.

Hi glperky, I do like your name, it sounds kind of well, you know---perky! I'm so glad you asked this question, I have been wondering the same thing. My son will be doing DITHOR this fall also for his ninth grade year, and I pray there is a list of suggestions that we can follow. I'd never be able to make up my mind!!! We are probably going to be doing RtR this fall, unless I hear back from Carrie that CtC might be a viable option. I am so grateful for her advice on where to start my son who is new to HOD. Woo Hoo!!! This is the first time in twenty years of homeschooling that I know ahead of time what we'll be doing In the fall, and it feels wonderful!!! My husband and I are attending the CHEO convention in Ohio this week-end, and I'll actually be able to enjoy the workshop speakers and not have to be distracted looking at curriculum (I think a previous poster's exact wording was feeling frazzled). Is anyone else attending CHEO this week-end? I know Carrie won't be there, but we are always so blessed by all the encouraging people! I can't wait to hear the reply to your question ---I was also wondering what you are doing for tenth grade science? Thanks, once again.

Here is a link that may help...

DITHOR Titles for High School:

Another option would be to get the World Geography guide and use it for the English credit. HTH! :D

Thanks for the link Julie!

We will be doing the World Geography guide the following year, Lord willing, so then then we wouldn't have anything to do that year, right?

You could always just use the next guide's English credit and follow that pattern until your student graduated. But either idea would work! :D HTH!
