Questions About Beefing Up Beyond

My box came today! I'm so excited!!

We are using BLHFHG, with a few beef ups for 2nd grade.

I have 2 questions that hopefully someone can help me with- we are using R&S 2, but since I don't have the Bigger manual, how do I know how much to cover? I think I just cover 1 part each day, meaning 2 pages. What about when I get to the review part of each unit?

We are also using Cheerful Cursive, so I have the same question with that- how much do I cover each day? 1 page?

We used R&S 2 with Beyond. I believe we did 4 lessons per week. The Bigger manual merely schedules it, and you aren't missing anything by not having it. It is the same for the Cursive book. The one area you may miss by not having the Bigger manual is the dictation for spelling.

At the risk at stating the obvious, just take the number of pages and divide by the number of days or weeks you will have school. That should give you an idea of how much needs covering each day or week.

In Bigger it is usually 2 pages of R&S 2 each day. But there are some days it is only 1 page. I think the end of a unit, or a page where the child has a lot of writing or something. Cheerful Cursive is 1 page/day. Though there may be a few times that is not the case, I honestly stopped looking and we are just moving ahead on our 2 pages/1 page rate. If she finishes them before the end of the guide I guess she will get a break from grammar and cursive.
