Curious about State study! We have to have Texas History here in the Lone Star State. Considering placing my 8th grader in a class for TX history next year. Will that be too much for him? With all the American History just a little fearful that it might overload him and I don't want to minimize Am HIstory in leiu of TX history.

Have you added anything for your state history study and when? Any suggestions? Words of wisdom?

A state study for your own state is scheduled in M2MM. I would just do it then rather than something additional some other year.

Just about any time I've tried to add/change something from the HOD guide, I've regretted it. So now my advice is to just leave it alone. Carrie has done all the work to make a wonderful, complete, easy to execute program, and I would advise to not mess with it.
