MTMM and dysgraphia-adaptations that still keep skill level

When I first started looking at the MTMM manual I have to say I had some moments of panic. There are a lot more follow up activities that require writing. I wasn't sure how I was going to make it where my ds could be independent and still do the guide as written as far as skill level. I spent some time pouring my fears out to God and he has led me to some things that should make it all work for my ds. Since there seem to be others trying to figure out how their dysgraphic dc can do the upper guides I thought I would list my plans here in case they might help someone else.

-My 2 biggest concerns were the bookmark activities that are part of storytime and the Science lab report. I found an Ipad app called pdf expert that with HOD's permission I was able to scan the lab report into my computer and save it as a pdf. I then transfer that form to the Ipad and open it with pdf expert and it allows him to type anywhere there is a blank space. So now he can type his lab reports. I did the bookmarks the same way by cutting them out individually and taping them to the side of a piece of paper and then scanning and saving it as a pdf form.

-He types all his written narrations and then cuts them out and glues them. He will do the same thing with the President study, but I might get some parchment colored paper so it blends in to the President notebook better. He will also type any follow up activities for the Reading about History box. These include outlines and several sentence articles and I just think he will do a better job if he types.

-The nature journal is still a bit up in the air. He loves to draw so that isn't the problem, but the journaling poses an issue. I will most likely have him type in a neat cursive font and again print it out and glue it in.

-He is supposed to answer questions on index cards when doing the Worthy Words box. For these I am thinking he will use dragon dictation and dictate his answers into the Ipad and it then converts his words to type.

-For the mapping he will do what he did last year. I go through on the teacher maps and write numbers on all the things he is supposed to label. He then uses that as a key and instead of writing the names of the places on the student map he just has to put the numbers. This worked well this year.

-He does do all the cursive copywork because it is good for his hands and he is capable of it.

I am now excited about MTMM and after seeing the placement chart for the Geography guide it gives me the motivation to make sure he achieves the skills in MTMM.
