Can anyone give an average number of pages the student is expected to read each day in Missions to Modern Marvels? NOT including DIHOR. I'm just looking for an average. There seem to be a ton of books . . . and I'm wondering if my son can handle it at this age. He's not the fastest reader, but he's highly disciplined and motivated (on most days
)
Thanks for your time!

We are doing MTMM next year so I have the manual and the books, but haven't actually done it yet. The history spine readings vary. In Rescue and Redeem the readings are longer, probably 15 pages. There are many days where they read maybe 5-6 pages in SOTW and then 4-5 pages in All American History or one of the other books. I haven't looked at the science reading yet. We do the storytime books as read alouds still. Those reading are probably longer, I haven't looked yet. I know in Rev to Rev they can be 19 pages. The overall reading amount looks pretty similar to the reading amount in Rev to Rev. The follow up activities look more challenging though.

We just finished MTMM, and LynnH is right on track with her numbers here. It took Wyatt around 20 minutes average to do his history readings (shorter for "Great Events in American History" and longer for "Rescue and Redeem"). He actually did it in his bedroom first thing in the morning (right after enjoying his MTMM Bible Quiet Time) - because he couldn't wait to read to find out what happened next.
Later in the morning, he'd be all stretched out on the couch enjoying his MTMM Storytime book. Ahhhhh. What a blessing for our dc to love what they read for school! Have a great year with MTMM - we surely did!
In Christ,
Julie
