Investigating HOD for middle school through high school

Hello everyone! This is my first time on HoD board. I am very excited to be here investigating HoD for my children. My boys, who are in fifth and second grade, have Sensory Processing Disorder and some learning challenges as a result. Years ago I visted the HoD booth at a book fair and while looking longingly at the curriculum, told the lovely gentleman at the booth that HoD would not work for my boys who never sat still. After years of therapy I think HoD would be a great fit for them.
However, I have an engineer for a hubby who would really like me to pick one curriculum and stick with it from here on out. We've used a variety of things over the years. So now as I look at the HoD stuff and read through all the boards I am trying to see how it will fit us. My hubby wants to know how it will work for high school and credit.
This is what we are considering. We are undecided about HoD for next year. We have just started American History and plan to do it through next year. We are just using books from the library. We are looking at CtC for my oldest's 7th grade year as I think my youngest will be able to handle it then from what I read in the catalog descriptions. That would led to RtR for 8th, Rev to Rev for 9th, and MtMM for 10th. (Geography would then be 11th.) My hubby is looking at graduation requirements and wondering if Rev to Rev and MtMM would count for World, U.S. History and Economics credit. Is that possible? I see from the catalog that one-year World and U.S. History might also be on the horizon. How would that fit into the picture? We are also trying to look at how would this affect our youngest who will be in 9th when our oldest is in 12th.
We are also wondering how intense the read alouds are as we have a very, very active one-year-old running around. (This is why we are thinking of waiting one more year to start HoD until she's easier to occupy.)
I probably have more questions, but this is a good start. Thanks!
