There is just nothing else like these notebooks anywhere! There really isn't! After going to homeschool conventions for the past 11 years, I've seen everything available. Lapbooking is the closest thing to Carrie's notebooks, and there really isn't a comparison in my opinion. To have a resource like this is truly invaluable to me. There is no way that I could gather together all the different items that she includes in each weekly spread. To have artwork, original source documents, timeline entries, student-made drawings, copywork, poetry, space for history projects at times, etc. all on beautiful, full-color pages...seriously?? There is no way I could take the time to do that for myself (and I lack the skills)- yet it is EXACTLY what I would want to have. And all I have to do is buy it from HOD and there it is! It is SO worth the money. I would pay so much more for something like this.
The notebooks make our year come together so seamlessly. At the end of the year, there is a truly unique, one-of-a-kind beautiful representation of everything that was studied during the year. I used to put together my own notebooks of my kids' work at the end of each school year and it took forever. Now, when the end of the year comes, it is already done! And they will be keepsakes for my kids forever, to be shown to their children someday!
