CTC?

Oldest dd grade 7 is using RTR this year. Will move on to Rev2Rev next year.
DD9yo grade 4 started PHFHG and is in unit 7 or 8. Will continue through next year.
DD11yo is where I have the question. We used Bigger this year for both her and the 9yo. They were not well placed. Even with the extensions it was not the correct placement. I placed them in a guide too low. Should have placed them in Preparing and then added extensions for the older. Anyway the year is almost finished. I moved this dd to Uncle Sam and You by Notgrass. It's not bad, but she sees all the awesome things in the other 2 guides and wants to do them. They work well when placed seperately. My dilemma: put her in CTC--which would mean scrounging...literally! All curriculum $ is spent! Or put her in RTR next year. A bit of background on her: doesn't love to read or write. can but doesn't really like to. She has been reading all of her science and history on her own. Occasionally I will read it to her because she enjoys it. And she misses the snuggle with me time. Anyway I think she would place well in the RTR guide, but she is definitely NOT ready for the medieval writing lessons. So I will be subbing the Narnia writing lessons for her for that. I will be teaching that to a group of her peers as well. She will also read the Narnia books for her literature next year. We will discuss but she will not be doing DITHOR next year (probably). If she does CTC would it be a crime if I only had her do the history and science portion? I see there are different storytime packages to choose from. We read aloud storytime together as a family and I am using the Preparing storytime for that. I know I know there are some really great books in the storytime packs, but that's not what I need to know. What I need to know is this: is she going to have a missing link for the history portion if we DON'T read the storytime books. I realize she could read them to herself but she is truly not a lover of reading. It will be a struggle to get her to read the history and science. I will not be choosing the extension books for her either. So we will only be using the history box, the independent history box, and the science box. The other boxes serve as reminders to us to do math, language arts, poetry, Bible study, etc. We will do Bible study together using The Pilgrim's Progress from AIG and the what we believe series from Apologia. Also scripture memory from Truth Trackers at church. So we really will not be using the whole program.
