Newbie and loving it!

I just have to gush!
We bought CTC about a month ago for my 9yr old. We had started the year with another curriculum, and we wanted to love it, but it just wasn't for us - we were all so unhappy with it! Well, we took two weeks off to 'decompress' because it just had put us all under that much stress. Anyway, we finally dug into CTC two weeks ago. We are going at half speed and doing extra readings (I picked up some of the books from PHFHG that we missed as we are new to HOD). WOW!!!! We love it! My dd has never been this happy with ANY curriculum we have ever tried at home. And she is retaining so much! Also I've seen her branch out on the Independent work already. Thank you HOD!!!!
In fact, my dd loves it so much, that one of my youngers is begging for their own 'school' now. And I just bought LHTH for my preschooler who is 3.5!!!! Thanks for letting me share!!!
