Skipping Rev to Rev?

Hi all, I have a 14 year old who has done the guides Bigger, CTC, and RTR. This past year however, we took a year off of HOD to cover Canadian History as we are Canadian :) My question is, should we jump back into Rev to Rev or could we skip to MMTM? I know chronologically it's not the best, but I feel skill wise she might fit into that category or even higher.

Also, I know alot of the history is American-based, but it looks like it is tied into World events pretty well which would be best for us

Any advice :?: :?:
Thanks,
Shannon

I just posted in the skipping MtMM thread....

My 13yo is in MtMM right now. We started a few weeks ago. We opted to skip Rev to Rev. Due to her age/grade, we would skip something to be ready for the high school guide. She placed in both guides, but her interests was better fit for MtMM.

I struggled with this decision. I felt like skipping was 'wrong' and that we should do EVERY guide. It took me a little time to appreciate the position we were in and that we had more options to choose from.

If she places solidly skill wise in MTMM then I think you would be fine doing that. We are finishing up Rev to Rev and I just bought MTMM and have been looking through it. From first glance it does seem like MTMM is a little less American History slanted than Rev to Rev. This is mainly due to all the missionary focus. I will say though that Rev to Rev has more world history than people think. There is quite a bit of European history and even some looking at what was going on in Japan, China, Africa etc. in Rev to Rev.

RevtoRev is fantastic ( I learned an incredible amount of stuff along with dd  ), but if DD is solidly placing at MtMM or above, I would go with where she places.
