Hi all! I plan to use LHFHG for Kindergarten in the fall and I have a few questions. My state requires we cover math, language arts, science, social studies, and health. I am unsure if LHFHG covers social studies and health, and was looking for more information on that. Thanks!

Sarah

Social studies would include history, which LHFHG covers. Other aspects of SS and health you cover better in day yo day...commumity helpers (fire, police, etc), helping others, eating healthy, brushing teeth, personal hygiene, etc. No curriculum needed. Many public school kids dont get those lessons at home, and only get it by addressing it in the state curriculum. Dont feel pressured into buying anything extra when you can already cover it so well!! Pinterest has great stiff for teety brushig and things like that that would gice you some pages to print if you have someyhing you must show.

I just wanted to add that you may want to check your state requirements to make sure that reporting is even required for Kindergarten. It may very well be, but some states don't require reporting for homeschool purposes until the child is 6 yo (and I think even later for some states) as of a certain date. This could help ease the stress of record keeping for your child's Kindergarten year.
