We are going to be starting Beyond as soon as all the books come in the mail. Yay! I gave my son the Singapore placement test and he aced 1a but got a 50 on 1b. So is it hard to follow the beyond guide starting with 1b? How does that work?
Thanks!

You would just find the place in the Beyond guide where 1b starts and place a sticky tab there. We have never been in the right spot for math and it works fine. You would need to purchase the Bigger guide before you actually were ready for Bigger to have the schedule and activities for 2a once you get there.

Just like countrymom said, you can easily start with 1B. My oldest ds always does a "B" and then an "A" each year, as this placement fit him well from the start. It is super easy to just put your sticky note for math a different place in the guide and move it forward as you go. HTH! :D
