We are on Unit 14 of Preparing about the Silk Road and my daughter needed to write the process of making silk. We watched this short you-tube video and it showed the process very well. Only warning is the fact that there are dead silkworms after the silk is unraveled. I was so excited at that unit. Being a spinner, my girls know all about the silk from me making yarn from silk hankies. I plan to get some coccoons that we can work with this spring/summer.
