I wanted to get back into the HOD groove a little while I patiently wait for the funds to purchase the new guides I will be using for the rest of this school year and next year. I began looking through the guides I already have to see what inspiration would hit. I wanted something I could do with my girls. There it was in front of me, the Bible study in Preparing. Because I was already using a different Bible program with my dd when we used Preparing, I skipped a lot of what was assigned. So last week my 9th grader, 7th grader, and I began working through it, beginning with Psalm 1:1-2. God must have had His amazing hand in this! On day three of the study there is a prayer for quiet time where the student prays a prayer of thanks for the Godly people He placed in our lives. Due to illness, we didn't get to the day until this morning. Over the weekend my grandmother, an amazing woman of God, a former evangelist, and probably the strongest influence for Christ in my life, passed away. As I read the prayer to my daughters this morning, we all broke down in tears. We knew who we would thank God for. In our grief and loss, we praise God and thank Him for such an influence in our lives. I wanted to thank you too Carrie. This little Bible study, not used as scheduled but as a temporary filler instead, has blessed us tremendously!

That was so timely for you and your daughters. It is amazing how the Lord works things out for us.
May He give you grace to deal with your loss!
Thank you for sharing it blessed and encouraged me!

Oh, I am so glad to hear this! We never know how the Lord will choose to speak to us, do we! His timing is perfect. :D I am so sorry about the loss of your grandmother. What a blessed heritage for your family that she was a believer and that she is now with her Lord hearing Him say, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant."

Blessings,
Carrie
