Drawn Into The Heart of Reading ?

Post by LovingJesus » Wed Jan 09, 2013 7:17 pm

We are just finishing our first week of HOD and I absolutely LOVE it!!! :D I have never had such a peaceful, well thought out, organized, and full of learning home school days as now. Thank you HOD! :D

I do have one question about DITHR. I have chosen the option on the schedule of 3 books for the genre; one for each 5 days. This is for a ds9 who loves to read. We are currently working through the first book and the first week of the DITHR program. So when he switches books do I just go onto day 6 of DITHR TM and do the assignments with the new book? I am wanting to make sure I understand it correctly.

Thank you Carrie for such a God honoring program.

In Christ,

Carin,
That is what I have always done...but it did not occur to me to ask this question. So, I maybe I have done this incorrectly all along!

So glad HOD was such a blessing to your family!

Yes, that is what we are supposed to do for DITHOR :D :D
It will be mentioned on day 6 and day 11 in TM, if you are starting a new book to update the calendar with your child.

:D So glad you love it Carin! Oh, I hope you are here to stay.....

Yep, you are thinking correctly with DITHR. Just keep moving forward to the next day of plans regardless of what book you are reading. The Teacher's Guide really does tell you all you need to know. I am looking forward to starting DITHR again; we are awaiting our new 4/5 workbook for the oldest.
