Going deeper spiritually thanks to HOD

This week my ds and I were talking about the Trinity in the Worldview study in Rev to Rev. He was asking some really deep questions. I answered them the best I could, but he decided to e-mail our youth pastor and get his responses to the questions. Our youth pastor felt like these questions were too big for just an e-mail response so he asked if he could take my ds, his son (who is also homeschooled), and another one of their best friends-also homeschooled, to lunch to discuss the Trinity. He took them all for a 2 hour lunch where they really talked things out and were able to really look through scripture with him and have him point out some different things to them. I think it was really helpful to all 3 boys to gets some things clarified. I just love that due to the worldview study and my ds's willingness to ask questions all 3 boys were able to really study the subject of the Trinity. My ds then had homework to come back and tell me what all they learned.

This is wonderful! :D I love the interest your son showed in the Trinity. We have found that our sons ask so many questions as we travel through the Scriptures scheduled throughout the HOD guides. I am thankful for the daily opportunity this provides for me to discuss important truths from God's Word with my boys. :D

Thanks so much for sharing! Your post blessed me today. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Wow! That is really neat! :D HOD does just make our dc want to dig a little deeper, doesn't it? The manner in which HOD does Bible studies and devotionals over the years opens the dialogue about faith and beliefs so that it makes it seem very natural to discuss with each other, and even with others. How special that your ds was able to discuss this with his youth pastor too. :D

In Christ,
Julie
