I am hoping to use some of Christmas break to plan out next year's school. We are using Rev2Rev for my dd's freshman year and it is working beautifully! :D Now, I would love to hear from you ladies who are using MtMM for high school and what you are adding to make it high school worthy. I want to start checking everything out and getting my plans laid. I appreciate anyone's input as to what is working and what is not. The ideas here save me SO much time and effort!!

I'm not anywhere near using MTMM but I found a thread that might be helpful. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=12485&p=90132&hilit ... ool#p90132

Hope this helps.

Do you want to know my plans for next year? They are of course subject to change. This year we are adding the first half of BJU literature and history (basically read, discuss, and take tests) to REV2REV. This has been a pretty easy way to keep grades and has worked well, so we will continue with this plan next year (2nd half). She has also just read some good literature--Scarlet Letter, Up From Slavery, and the Hobbit so far (just read and discuss). For grammar we are finishing 8th grade CLE and added Easy Grammar Ultimate 9. This has also worked well, so we will use 1/2 of the HS CLE grammar paces (I think that will be three.) and Easy Grammar Ultimate 10. Again--easy for grades. For the science for next year, we plan to add the Chem 101 DVD and the chemistry paces only from the integrated course offered by Pacworks ( My oldest son did these.). For the economics 1/2 credit I am leaning towards the guide to accompany Penny Candy and probably the Hazlit (I will need to look up the spelling on this one.) option that Carrie recommended. We will start Rosetta Stone Spanish and probably do home economics, photography, and fine arts for electives (not sure of the count or combination). My daughter takes art lessons, guitar and violin lessons, and she attends many concerts with us at a local university, so I want to incorporate some of this into her transcript. Music and art are the things she loves to do.

Thank you, Melissa! It is very helpful for me to see what others are doing (or planning on doing). Your plan has some similarities to what I was thinking of doing. I will check out some of the other ideas you mentioned as well!
