My 9yo is having oral surgery on Monday. she's having 3 baby teeth pulled and work done one one molar that won't finish erupting. It stopped 2 years ago. They have to remove bits of jawbone to make room for the. Tooth to erupt.. they also have to put in a screw. Joanie is scared. Please pray for God to comfort her through it all and to guide the surgeons hands. Thank you.

Thanks for your prayers. Tomorrow is almost here. I am so nervous for her. If the surgery works, they will be able to save her adult molar. If not, she will have to be put under anesthesia again in a few weeks to cut out the molar. And the baby teeth that she has to have pulled aren't even beginning to get loose yet. I pray that everything goes smoothly and that the surgery is a success.

Oh LeeAnn- praying for dd! I had to have a tooth pulled not long ago, and though it was not great, it healed quickly and now is a distant memory though it was actually quite recent. Eating bananas (like quite a few the day before and morning of) before the surgery will help the blood to clot more quickly. I know your dd's situation sounds more serious though, and I can see how being a young gal would add to the worry. Praying for dd and for you as the loving mama too!

Praise The Lord! Joanie came through better than expected. They pulled the three teeth, performed the work on the jawbone and were able to manually lift the molar into place. They do not think they need to put in a screw at this time. She can't chew food for two weeks, then she will be xrayed to see if it worked.

Thanks to everyone for praying for her, I am grateful for the fellowship of this board.

Lee Ann, I was so happy to see your update this morning and see that it all went well. God brought her to my mind this morning. I'll continue to pray that she heals well.
