Timeline With LHFHG

Post by glperky » Mon Sep 10, 2012 11:20 am

Does anyone here do a timeline with Little Hearts? Is there a need? I am thinking not, because Carrie didn't put one in the TG. but I thought my boys might understand better if we did. Any thoughts?

We began one last year with Bigger. We took the timeline from Beyond and put it on there as well. I hope to continue to add to it every year. So far it has been a lot of fun to see overlaps. Hopefully it will be useful as well as a nice keepsake.

We got a blank timeline book from Miller Pads and Paper at the homeschool conference.

SORRY. I hit post reply and came to this thread instead of the one about combining timelines. Opps!!!

I don't think it would hurt, if you really wanted to do it, but I am thinking also that it is not necessary at that level. Carrie has been very thoughtful about skills progression through the guides, and probably has good reason for waiting until Beyond for making a simple timeline.

The way History for Little Pilgrims is written it introduces the idea of a timeline to the younger kids. We don't have space for a wall timeline, but I do like the idea of adding to it each year!
