Are the emerging readers meant to be read by my ds or by both mom and ds?

He reads, but you are beside him to help with words he does not know.

He reads aloud to you and you can help.

We have enjoyed the Emerging Reader's Set with two of our sons, and we are getting ready to use it a third time. It really is a great set of books - so much better than the dry, lifeless readers I read at this stage of reading. The stories are fun, exciting, and virtually every genre is represented. I remember thinking there was no way my little guys would make it from reading the first books to the last books of the set within a year - but they did! How exciting you are getting ready to enjoy this journey with your child!
