Can you tell me what type of clay you used? Also what type of container with air-tight lid did you use? I was thinking of using a 9x13 glass pan with lid. Not sure if it's air-tight though. Any photos you want to share? Thanks for any help. My dc are loving the independent history projects and I want to make sure this one turns out well for them like the others have.

We used the air dry clay that you can find at Target or Walmart. I believe it was by Crayola in a tub. We used a couple of Glad containers. I found some nice bigger, shallower ones that were about 5X9 or so and they worked ok. I think a larger size would be better, but the clay is a bit pricey so I didn't want to have to buy too much. I see Amazon has a better price than what I paid so I should have checked there and gotten the big 5 lb. tub. That air dry clay comes in handy for a lot of projects. Here is a picture of one of my dc's map:

Ours looked almost IDENTICAL to what Patty did above. We used a the air dry clay and the glad container (with a blue lid) too. :)

Found that Kroger has their brand of Glad containers on sale this week, so I got 2 of them (one for each of my dc) for $1.88. :D
