Last year was our first year homeschooling. My daughter was 5 years old and we did Math U See and Explode the Code through book 3 1/2.
Now for this year I am very interested in Heart of Dakota. She is 6 and reads simple books. She can compose simple sentences. Writes fairly well and can count by tens and to one hundred. The only issue for choosing which one is her younger brothers. I also have a 2 year old and a 4 year old. The 4 year old does not know his letters and sounds. Which program/s would you advise?
Thank you for any help you can offer

Re: LHFHG or Beyond?
I would always start with the younger guide. You can always use it with emerging readers if she doesn't need further phonics instruction. So my vote is for LHFHG!

Re: LHFHG or Beyond?
We loved LHFHG and used it for 1st grade and think it makes a wonderful 1st grade program. However, Beyond can be a great first grade program too. Have you checked the placement chart to see where your daughter is on it: http://www.heartofdakota.com/placing-your-child.php That would be the first step to determining which program to choose. Your little ones sound like they might be ready for LHTH. Let us know how they all place on the chart and we'll see if we can help you find the right placement. Welcome to HOD!
