I'm Trying to be Patient

Post by Homeschooling6 » Thu Aug 23, 2012 1:53 pm

Hi, Ladies, it has been a while since I've posted. Crazy but good summer. Because of finances we haven't been able to place our order with HOD yet  and school starts in a few weeks double   .

Hopefully I'll get to order within the two weeks but I want my books =) this waiting is killing me

I miss chatting with you all too. I've enjoyed reading how you all are doing. I hope to join in soon.

This coming year we'll use Little Hearts, Bigger, CtC, and Res. to Ref.

Blessings,
Linda<><

Welcome back! I know it has been a busy summer for us here too. I've missed being here and reading the board also. You are doing great at being patient if you ask me. I don't know if I could stand waiting until the last minute to get my books. I'm funny that way and usually like to start planning for the next year way in advance. Funny thing though since I've used HOD for several years now I've chilled out a bit. I've had my stuff for CTC for a long time now, but I haven't been going through it and figuring out our year at all. I was telling some of my friends about that the other day and they told me how much I had changed. Just a few years ago, I was absorbed in my planning, getting everything lined up, etc. Now, I know that HOD is great and that's what I'm doing so I don't have to spend weeks planning everything out! :D It really is open and go so I don't have to worry. That will be great for you since you will be getting your books right before you start. You'll get them, open the box, and start school! I look forward to sharing our year in CTC together! :D

Hi, Patty, this is the first time in my whole homeschooling mom life that I don't have our stuff so close to our start date. I might have to start later. Two of my children are still in Arizona visiting their Auntie R. This is just the weirdest beginning ever :?

Like you mentioned, thankfully HOD has scheduled everything for me and hopefully we can get started as soon as it arrives. Hope to order two weeks from now.

It is hard though. For a while I was in a slump but I've since picked myself up and am getting things organized for school. I can still start (hopefully the two kiddos will be home) with what I do have. We are currently doing a Tree/Forest and WWll Pearl Harbor studies that will get us by along with our 3R's.

Blessings,
Linda

We don't have our things yet either, and we are starting later this year too. I am trying to be patient too - but it's not my best quality. God is working on me! I hope you have a good year, and I have missed seeing both you and Patty here - so good to hear from you both.

Love in Christ,
