Hi there,

My DD is 6 and half yrs old and is a crazy good reader. I just can't keep up with her and she is reading her way through the Famous Five at the moment.

Without using any of the book selections in HOD programs - has anyone got any good real chapter books with Christian standpoint that they would recommend?

Thanks alot
Sherid

Focus on the family series Imagination Station

HOD has a sample book list (listed with DITHOR materials) that has extra books not in the packs, you'll find some good ones there. Also in the appendix of LHTH, LHFHG & Beyond there is a list of add'l reading material.

My dd sounds alot like your dd...she ends up re-reading many of her books as we can't get her new books fast enough! Some of her favorite Christian books have been: A Hive of Busy Bees, Another Hive of Busy Bees, Wisdom & the Millers, On Yonder Mountain, Donkey Cart Kids, & An Adventist Girl series. Some other books that she has enjoyed (not neccessarily Christian) have been: The Little House on the Pararie & The Rose Years books, Little Pear, The Boxcar Children #1, Betsy-Tacy & the Milly Molly Mandy books. Hope that helps...good luck!
