DITHOR ?

We are planning to use DITHOR in the fall. We are using the Level 3 books. For some categories there are 2 books recommended, i.e. Louis Braille and Alexander Hamilton for biographies. One takes 5 reading days & one takes 10. What do we do for the workbook? The pages are numbered day 1 through 15. Do we only pick one book to do the workbook pages for or do we go through the whole set of pages for each book? I'm sure there's a simple explanation that I missed somewhere, but I'm so confused!

It's really simple...and once you get going, you'll agree
You have two choices:
Read the 5 day book on days 1-5 and read the 10 day book on days 6-15.
or
Read the 10 day book on days 1-10 and the 5 day book on days 11-15.
You'll split the pages/chapters to fit within 5, 10, or 15 days and just go through them straight through from days 1-15 no matter how many books you use.

Oh...on days 1 and I think both 6 and 11, there are pre-reading activities that work well for starting a new book if you're starting one. And if you aren't, then they work well for before the child moves on in the book any farther.

I think you are suppose to use the workbook for which book you are reading that day. So for days 1-5 you would fill out the workbook based on the first book you read. Days 6-15 you answer the questions based on the second book. Then for the end of genre project they can pick either book to use. At least thts the way I'm using it!!

Thanks for the replies. Robbi, I think I'll use your method. That seems simple. I knew I was making it too complicated.
