Prepping for Rev2Rev's composer study

We start on Monday, and I'm trying to get copies made, binders organized, etc.

I am wondering if anyone else had difficulty getting pages to line up properly when printing the back to back pages (particularly for the first project - Periods of Music). After many failed attempts, I've just printed them single sided and will instruct my daughter to use a glue stick to compensate for the pages not being printed properly.

So, is it just me, or have others had this trouble?

Yes, this can be tricky if you don't have a printer that does double-sided copying :? Eventually I just figured out which way I had to turn the first copy in order to get the back side to print where I wanted it-but it still takes me a couple of tries sometimes. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you...

It wasn't that so much as that it won't line up exactly.

Oh! Sorry I misunderstood-I wonder if that may just be an issue with your particular printer-in that case, printing single-sided and gluing together may just be your best option.

We did have a little trouble. I make my ds use a glue stick. :D It just adds one little extra step for him, but saves this mama's sanity. :D

We used the glue stick for that as well. As for prepping it, I went ahead and printed all the things needed, and we sat and cut them all out while watching a movie one night and put them in labeled envelopes so when it came time to doing the activity, it only required assembling/writing. That saved us a ton of time on the actual lesson day.

I had the same trouble on my husband's laptop. It would look fine in the printing module, but even when I hit preview it would be slightly to one side, making it not line up right. I switched to my laptop and it printed fine, so it was obviously some kind of setting within the laptop. I had checked the settings but didn't see anything wrong.

I just came on the computer now to make the rest of our copies for the composer study, but I stopped by the boards first, so I'm thankful for the heads-up! :)
