Had to laugh:-)

Post by scampbell2003 » Mon Aug 13, 2012 1:12 pm

So our first day is done. Praise the Lord! Toddler fell asleep in pack and play so we finished up school after a quick lunch before he woke up. This threw off my schedule but I went with it and took advantage of his nap. Anyway the funny thing that made me laugh today was after we got through with the left side of the page in Little Hearts and were starting the right side I realized we were doing day 2. LOL! Pregnancy brain, at least that is what I am blaming it on. :D I told my son no big deal we will do day 1 tomorrow. Hopefully I haven't confused him by messing up the order of history. So despite my schedule being a little off and doing the wrong page our day went really well. Blessed by our first day using HOD! I will make it and we will get school done. :D
Thank you Carrie and family for all you do!

Too funny! Sounds like a great first day overall! Somewhere between a good schedule and some healthy flexibility lies the perfect homeschooling day. Sounds like you found it! :D Oh, and this will make you feel oodles better - I started Wyatt on the wrong level of Singapore Math one year for a good month. I thought, "Man, this is HARD". Then, I realized he has always been my "B" then "A" level ds, so he should have started with 4B instead of 5A. I can't even blame it on being pregnant either - at least you have that! Thanks for the laugh, and may the days to come be just as full of delight! :D

In Christ,
Julie

Oh Julie! That is too funny. :D I think as wives and mothers we have so many responsibilities and things on our minds we just get ahead of ourselves. Thank you for sharing that!
