HELP!!!! New and floundering...

I am new here to HOD and have admired my SIL's stuff for months. While I was all prepared to teach this year using Winterpromise, I have hit a wall. Wall because I have two children that are three years apart. I got the younger Guide and had hoped to beef it up enough for the older but it isn't working. I also had gotten it used due to finances so buying him his own set at his age level isn't quite in the budget.

We have tons of books and access to books so I could theoretically get just a Guide from them or HOD at about $80 if need be although it is tough to do, I would figure a way to do so.

Any thoughts or suggestions for me would be helpful. The children are going into 5th and 8th.

Hit a wall - that's okay, let's climb the wall together! I'm another homeschool mom with dc 3 or more years apart and far apart in abilities/maturity. HOD has been a terrific fit for each of them! Tell me about your dc. I can help with placement, with an eye for a tight budget. You can probably use some of your Winter's Promise books for Storytime and for DITHOR within HOD. HOD works carefully with families on payment plans that fit tight budgets too. So, let's start scaling the wall by chatting over placement, ok?
