We are 3 units into LHFHG. This is our first year using HOD.
My boy requests to do his "schoolwork" each day, usually quite soon after waking.
We were reading the history this morning and he patted the TG gently and said, "after we finish this book we will read it all over again. Okay?" He says that about really good books. I said, "ooooh, when we finish this book, Sister gets it. You will get a NEW book like this one with even MORE good ideas! The lady who wrote this book is Mrs. Carrie, and she has written a book for you to use all the way up to when you are FULL GROWN!"
His eyes got big and round. "Really?"
"Yes! I hear the books get better and better! I am really excited too!"
Well, he is thrilled. maybe even more so than when he realized there are a whole series of "Little House" books.
